Rental law

Flemish region

Leases for properties located in Flanders, entered into as from 1/1/2019, are subject to regional rental legislation. For leases entered into before 1/1/2019, the former, federal rental law still applies.

This information is valid for all rental agreements for properties located in Flanders, entered into before 1 January 2019, when new rental legislation was introduced in Flanders.
